Abstract
Recently, the use of 3D printing in the field of dentistry has widely spread from personalized prostheses to implants. 3shape (3shape Co., Denmark) and exocad (exocad Inc, Germany) are used as CAD dental software. These programs are specialized in the manufacture and design of various dental prostheses and thus have intuitive and relatively easy usage. However, there are also cases where the solutions provided by these programs are difficult to solve in actual clinical practice. Meshmixer (Autodesk Inc, USA) is not dental cad software, but it is a free general purpose cad software that allows you to modify or combine 3D modeling files in various ways. Intraoral devices that are difficult to design in the aforementioned dental software can be produced using this program. The purpose of this technical report is to find out how to design a template (commonly called a stent) to determine the exact location and orientation of the alveolar bone perforation before implant placement using autodesk meshmixer, which is none dental software.
